Been in the garden all day, it’s been wonderful weather finally after several rainy days.

While working in the garden came to think of an old song I (Mrs. Hult) loved many years ago but have forgotten about. Today it came to mind and the words came back to me as I worked in the garden. Just found the lyrics to the song online:

Seems I’d forgotten there for a while what opportunities a new day brings….

In Denmark summer start June 1st. ! Well, someone forgot to tell the weather! Today we have thunder, lightning and hailstorms! So we sit inside looking out at the new garden bench where we were looking forward to sit and relax and enjoy the sun, listen to the birds singing, seeing the beauty of the flowers and have a cup of coffee! We are sure summer’s on it’s way, tomorrow maybe…

Today we have planted our “Brag Bean” - never had one before and got the seeds from some of our familymembers. The seeds have been waiting all winter and about 1 month ago we planted them in a flowerpot and waited and waited and then they finally showed and grew bigger - now big enough to be planted in the garden. It must be named Brag Bean because of the size it will end up having, flowers will be red and orange and then BIG beans will appear. The bean we got last fall was about 30 centimeters (1 foot) long with 6 seeds in it. So now we’ll have to wait for it to grow really big - so that we hoppefully also have something to brag about!
